He completed his Ph.D. in Green Energy at the University of Montreal, Canada, from January 2009 to September 2014, achieving a commendable grade of 4.3 out of 5 in his qualifying examination. Dr. Amlan K. Pal is an accomplished academic and researcher with a diverse international experience in the field of chemistry. Since December 2019, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology Jammu, India. In this role, he has been actively involved in teaching and research, contributing to the academic and scientific community.

Prior to his current position, Dr. Pal held prestigious research positions, showcasing his expertise and dedication to advancing the field of chemistry. From September 2017 to December 2019, he was a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow with an independent career focus at the School of Chemistry, University of St Andrews, UK. Pal possesses extensive experience and expertise in organic and inorganic synthesis, as well as in the isolation, distillation, purification, and characterization of compounds using various analytical techniques. His skills include crystallization and working in controlled environments such as Schlenk lines and glove boxes.
