Dr. Gurupadayya has an extensive educational background in pharmacy, beginning with his Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) from SCS College of Pharmacy, Gulbarga University in 1991. He pursued his Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) in 1995 and completed his Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) in Medicinal Chemistry from the same institution in 1997. He then earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in 2006 from Kuvempu University, focusing on the biological and pharmacological properties of fluoro benzothiazole derivatives under the guidance of Dr. Gopal M. Advirao.

Work Experience

With over two decades of experience in academia, Dr. Gurupadayya has held several positions throughout his career. He began as a Lecturer at SCS College of Pharmacy in 1997 and progressed to Senior Grade Lecturer and Assistant Professor at the National College of Pharmacy, Shimoga. In June 2007, he joined JSS College of Pharmacy as a Professor and has served as the Head of the Department since June 2022. His teaching and research have significantly contributed to the field of pharmaceutical chemistry.
