She completed her SSLC with distinction in 1992 and pursued Pre-Degree studies at Calicut University in 1994, securing a first-class with a focus on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. She went on to achieve a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Calicut University in 1997 with an outstanding 94.3% and later obtained an M.Sc. in Oceanography from Cochin University of Science and Technology in 1999, earning first rank with distinction. Additionally, she earned another M.Sc. in Mathematics from Calicut University in 2006 with distinction, scoring 93.6%. Dr. Minirani also cleared the CSIR UGC-NET in Mathematics in 2009 and completed her Ph.D. in Mathematics, focusing on “Studies on Iterated Function Systems and Topology of Fractal Space,” from the National Institute of Technology, Calicut, in 2015.
Dr. Minirani S is currently serving as an Associate Professor in Mathematics at the Department of BSH, MPSTME, SVKM’s NMIMS Mumbai Campus, a position she has held since April 2019. Prior to this, she was an Assistant Professor in Mathematics at the same institution from February 2017 to March 2019. Her extensive teaching career includes a decade-long tenure at Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Mumbai, as an Assistant Professor in Mathematics. She has also held the roles of Vice Principal and Lecturer at the Global Institute of Technology & Management (GITM) in Mumbai and has experience as a Subject Matter Expert in Mathematics with Praxis Technologies in Mumbai. Earlier in her career, Dr. Minirani worked as a Research Fellow on a project titled “Determination of Seawater Use Classification” at the National Institute of Oceanography, Kochi, Kerala.
In addition to her teaching roles, she has contributed significantly to academic administration, serving as an NBA Convenor, NAAC Coordinator, and Curriculum Restructuring Committee member, among other roles. She has also been actively involved in content development for UGC’s MooCs and DTH programs, and served as a course coordinator for SWAYAM.
