Education
Chun Liu holds a Doctoral Degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from Hunan University, where she conducted her research at the State Key Laboratory of Soil Erosion and Dryland Farming on the Loess Plateau, under the supervision of Prof. Zhongwu Li. She completed her doctoral studies in June 2019. Chun also served as a visiting scholar at the University of California, Merced, from November 2017 to December 2018, collaborating with Prof. Asmeret Asefaw Berhe. Prior to her doctorate, she earned a Master’s Degree in Hydrology and Water Resources Science from Hunan Normal University, working under the guidance of Profs. Dianqing Lv and Hongsong Chen. Chun began her academic journey with a Bachelor’s Degree in Water Resources and Hydroelectric Engineering from Hunan Agricultural University, mentored by Prof. Bangsong Yao. Her diverse educational background has equipped her with a strong foundation in environmental science and water resource management.
Professional Experience
Chun Liu is currently an Associate Professor at the Institute of Groundwater and Earth Sciences at Jinan University in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China, a position she has held since September 2019. In this role, she focuses on advancing research in groundwater management and environmental science, contributing to both academic knowledge and practical applications in the field.
