Dr. Hoda A. Ahmed has received several prestigious awards and accolades throughout her career, highlighting her outstanding contributions to scientific research and academia. In March 2007, she was honored with the Hamed Khalefa Award by the Department of Chemistry at Cairo University, recognizing her as one of the top ten students in the Chemistry group. Dr. Ahmed’s excellence in scientific research has been consistently recognized, as evidenced by the Award for the Best Scientific Research Publications from Cairo University for the years 2009 to 2023. Her impactful research has also earned her a place on the list of scientific researchers in the “World Ranking of Top 2% Scientists” according to surveys conducted by Stanford University in both 2021 and 2022. Furthermore, Dr. Ahmed’s commitment to addressing global challenges through her research was acknowledged with the Elsevier Award for an article linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Her work on the enhanced adsorption removal of phosphate from water by Ag-doped PVA-NiO nanocomposite, prepared by the pulsed laser ablation method, was recognized for its potential to contribute to solutions for some of the world’s most pressing issues.
