Mr. Samuel Mwangi Mungai is currently pursuing a PhD in Computational Mathematics at the Pan African University Institute for Basic Sciences, Technology and Innovation (PAUSTI). He has completed courses in Analysis, Computational Mathematics, Operator Theory, Advanced Fluid Dynamics, and Advanced Dynamical Systems, achieving grades ranging from A to B. Concurrently, he is also undertaking a PhD in Applied Mathematics at Meru University of Science and Technology, where he has excelled in courses such as Analysis of Fluid Mechanics, Functional Analysis, and Computational Methods, among others. Prior to his current pursuits, Mr. Mungai obtained a Master of Science (MSc.) in Applied Mathematics from Meru University of Science and Technology, with a thesis titled “Fluid flow over a moving flat surface with temperature dependent viscosity.” He completed his Bachelor of Education Science (Mathematics and Chemistry) at Egerton University, Nakuru, and his secondary education at Kithangari High School, Meru, where he achieved a Second Class Honors Upper Division. His primary education was at Gaatia Primary School, Meru, where he performed well, obtaining a grade of B+.

Teaching:

Mr. Erick Mutwiri Kirimi has a strong background in teaching, with a focus on mathematics and chemistry. His teaching experience spans various educational institutions and levels, showcasing his versatility and expertise in the field. As a part-time lecturer at the University of Embu, Chuka University, and Meru University, Mr. Kirimi has taught courses in mathematics, imparting knowledge to students pursuing higher education. Prior to his work in higher education, Mr. Kirimi taught mathematics and chemistry at Gankondi Secondary School in Meru, Kenya. As the Head of the Mathematics Department, he was responsible for overseeing the department’s activities, ensuring the quality of education, and mentoring other teachers. Mr. Kirimi has also been actively involved in extracurricular activities related to teaching. As the Patron of the Science club at Naathu High School in Meru, Kenya, he contributed to students’ holistic development by fostering their interest in science and technology.
