Prof. Adel Hatami-Marbini completed his Ph.D. in Economics & Management Sciences with a focus on Supply Chain Management at the Center for Supply Chain Management, Louvain School of Management, Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL), Belgium, from 2010 to 2013. He earned his M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, specializing in System & Productivity Management with distinction, from IAU, Iran, from 2005 to 2008. His undergraduate studies include a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, with a specialization in Planning & System Analysis, also with distinction, completed from 2001 to 2005.

Prof. Adel Hatami-Marbini’s research interests include Supply Chain Analytics, Business Analytics in Operations Management, Sustainability in Logistics and Supply Chains, Digital Supply Chain Management (with applications in healthcare, food, etc.), Quantitative and Optimization Modeling and Data Science, Logistics and Transportation, Decision Support Systems (Multi-Criteria Decision Making & Multi-Objective Decision Making methodologies), and Performance and Productivity Management.

Prof. Adel Hatami-Marbini has been actively involved in teaching and supervising various modules at Huddersfield Business School and De Montfort University. At Huddersfield Business School since 2023, he has supervised the Individual Research Project for 15 students, led the Group Consultancy Project, taught Project Management, Research Methods, and served as Module Leader for Data Analysis and Visualization and Supply Chain Planning and Control. During his time at De Montfort University from 2019 to 2023, Prof. Hatami-Marbini served as Module Leader for Operations and Service Quality Management for postgraduate students (300 students) and Global Operations and Supply Chain Management for undergraduate students (250 students).
