Dr. Hafizah Omar Zaki is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEP), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She is currently the Head of Emerging Technology & Big Data (ETBD) cluster at the Centre of Global Business and Digital Economy (GloBDE), FEP-UKM. Dr. Hafizah holds a Ph.D. in Marketing specializing in advertising and branding from the University of Malaya (UM), an MBA specializing in Human Resource Management from UKM, and a Degree in Multimedia Management from Multimedia University (MMU). Her research and publications focus on advertising, branding, digital marketing, and digital business. Dr. Hafizah has received awards such as the Harvard Business School Alumni Club of Malaysia Scholarship in 2012 and an Apple Teacher Award in 2021. She is involved in coordinating research and academic forums with governmental bodies such as MOSTI, EPU, and organizations such as Cradle Fund Sdn. Bhd. Dr. Hafizah also participates in societal programs such as voluntary teaching programs for schools and engaging in car boot sales to fund high schoolers and orphanages.

Dr. Hafizah Omar Zaki is an accomplished academic with a diverse educational background. She earned her Ph.D. in Marketing and Advertising from the University of Malaya in 2021, showcasing her dedication to understanding consumer behavior and communication strategies. Prior to this, she completed her Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from UKM in 2013, demonstrating her interest in organizational behavior and human capital development. Dr. Hafizah began her academic journey by obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Management with Multimedia from MMU in 2010, highlighting her early passion for integrating technology with management principles. Driven by a desire for continuous learning and academic excellence, Dr. Hafizah has established herself as a respected figure in her field, contributing valuable insights and research findings to the academic community.

Dr. Hafizah Omar Zaki is actively engaged in a variety of research projects, demonstrating her commitment to advancing knowledge in business and technology. As the project leader, she is leading a study titled “The Impact of Coloured Social Media Advertising on Gen Alpha’s Intention to Purchase,” focusing on consumer behavior among the younger generation. Additionally, she is collaborating as a co-researcher on several projects, including “Enhancing Taxpayers` Engagement in Malaysia through Blockchain Technology,” which aims to improve government-citizen interactions, and “PembanAwards:gunan Modul Bahasa Arab Pemasaran (m-TaswiQ) Bagi Memperkasakan Kebolehpasaran Produk Usahawan Perusahaan Kecil Sederhana (PKS) di Peringkat Global,” focusing on empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through Arabic marketing modules. Furthermore, Dr. Hafizah is involved in projects such as “Pembangunan dan keberkesanan kit ekonomi kitaran bagi pelajar PVMA,” which focuses on economic cycle kit development for PVMA students, and “An analytical framework of dual network embeddedness and resource acquisition of immigrant entrepreneurship,” aiming to understand immigrant entrepreneurship dynamics. She is also contributing to research on tourism with “Exploring the Impact of Virtual Experience on Tourists` Affective State and Visit Intentions” and studying philanthropy with “Digital Platform for Cash Waqf Collection: Understanding Young Donors’ Participation in Malaysia.”

Dr. Hafizah Omar Zaki has received several prestigious awards and certifications in recognition of her outstanding contributions and achievements. At UKM, she was honored with the Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang in 2022, recognizing her excellent service. She also received the MyRA – Anugerah Kecemerlangan MyRA Prestasi 2022 (Inovasi) in 2023 for her innovative contributions. Beyond UKM, Dr. Hafizah has been recognized internationally, receiving the Emerald Award for Excellence in 2024 for her article in Marketing Intelligence & Planning, which was one of the top-cited articles according to Crossref in 2023. She has also been awarded the Sijil Penghargaan Cemerlang Inovasi in 2023 for her exceptional innovations. Dr. Hafizah is also dedicated to continuous learning and professional development. She has obtained certifications in various digital marketing and technology platforms, including YouTube Music Certification, Waze Ads Fundamentals Certification, and Get Started with Google AdMob in 2022. Additionally, she has completed courses in distance learning for educators, digital behavior, and safety, and became an Apple Teacher in 2021.
