Education:

Dr. Massami Rukiko completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of Dodoma (UDOM) in Dodoma, Tanzania, from 2016 to 2023. Her doctoral thesis was titled “Impact of Conditional Cash Transfer Program on Health Outcomes in Tanzania.” Prior to her PhD, she pursued a Master of Business Administration-Agribusiness at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) in Morogoro, Tanzania, from 2008 to 2010. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology from SUA, completed from 2004 to 2007.

Training & Experience:

Dr. Massami Rukiko has actively participated in several training workshops and courses to enhance her skills and knowledge. In June 2019, she attended a training workshop on impact evaluation, focusing on Introduction to Experimental and Quasi Experimental evaluation methods at the University of Dodoma. In March 2016, she participated in a course on Environmental Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for Process Upgrading and Eco-Design at the School of Agricultural Economics and Business Studies (SAEBS) at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). In February 2016, she attended a training workshop on quality assurance and human resource management at the University of Dodoma. In April 2014, she participated in a training workshop for quality assurance also held at the University of Dodoma.

In addition to her training and workshops, Dr. Rukiko has held various academic and leadership roles. From September 2014 to March 2017, she served as the Head of the Department of Management Sciences at the University of Dodoma. Prior to this, from September 2012 to 2014, she held the role of Acting Head of the Department of Management Sciences at the same university. In October 2015, she was part of a team tasked with establishing factors affecting students’ performance for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. These experiences demonstrate her commitment to professional development and leadership in academia.
