Software Skills:

Sarah Khan possesses a range of software skills, including proficiency in System Dynamics Modelling. She has working knowledge of software such as Vensim and Stella Architect for system dynamics modelling. Additionally, she has working knowledge of data analysis software MATLAB, AutoCAD for design purposes, and Python for programming. Ms. Khan is also skilled in using data analysis tools like Power BI and is proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Awards and Extra Curriculum:

Sarah Khan has received several awards and has participated in various extracurricular activities. She conducted a closed roundtable discussion with experts on net-zero scenario development for India’s buildings sector in Bengaluru in December 2023. At Energise 2023, organized by the Alliance for Energy Efficient Economy, held in Goa from November 1-4, 2023, she presented a paper titled “Decarbonising India’s residential sector: Insight and pathways from a system dynamics model.” Sarah participated in “Innovating for Transport and Energy Systems,” part of the UK-India Innovation Net Zero Initiative, organized by Energy Systems Catapult and the Indian Institute of Science in March 2023 in Bengaluru. She also participated in a model dissemination workshop, Indian Zero Carbon Energy Pathways (IDEEA), organized by The Sustra Group, Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), in collaboration with the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) and SusPoT-Center for Sustainability, and Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, in February 2023 in Bengaluru. Sarah presented a paper titled “System Dynamics Model of Interaction between Transportation Sector and Air Pollution for an Urban Region” at the 9th Civil Engineering Conference in the Asian Region (CECAR9): Sustainable Design and Eco Technologies for Infrastructure, organized by The Institution of Civil Engineers, held in Goa from September 21-23, 2022. She served as the co-convenor of the International Conference on Design and Applications of Multifunctional Materials, Interfaces, and Composites (DAM2IC), held at K.R. Mangalam University, Gurugram, from June 4 to 6, 2022. Sarah worked on an assignment for shaping the E-two vehicle market for the Gujarat Government under Dr. Anup Bandivadekar, The International Council on Clean Transportation. She received the Vice-Chancellor Gold Medal for exceptional academic progress in her Master’s program and certification for French Language A1 Level from DELF (Diplôme d’études en langue française). Sarah also received certification for working as a volunteer in the 62nd Annual National Conference, Indian Association of Occupational Health-2013, Delhi.
