She conducted research at the Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) in Luchnow (U.P.), focusing on the combined effect of siderophore-producing rhizobacteria (SD22) and bioinoculants on the growth and productivity of Mentha Piperita plants. She also worked as a Ph.D. scholar at H.S. Gaur University in SAGAR (M.P.), where she conducted research on the taxonomic identification of microbial communities in rhizospheric soil, screening for α-galactosidase enzyme production. Additionally, Dr. Chauhan has received specialized training in phylogenetic and molecular sequencing analysis of microbial communities at CSIR-Microbial Research Institute in Mau, U.P. She has also provided on-site training to laboratory staff in biochemical, immunological, and ELISA techniques at PhL-IDC in Pemba island, Tanzania, and conducted training in various techniques including microbiological, biochemical, immunological, histopathology, virological, and serological analysis. She also played a key role in establishing a virology laboratory set-up for a COVID sero-surveillance project funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Work Experience:

Dr. Aishwarya Chauhan has worked as a Research Scientist at the Center for Public Health Kinetics (CPHK) in Delhi from May 15, 2017, to May 20, 2022. She served as the Laboratory Head of the Molecular Microbiology division and was involved in various international projects, including the WHO multicentre project “Antibiotics for Children with Severe Diarrhea” (ABCD) and the Gates Foundation project “Zinc Estimation for Diarrhea Treatment” (ZTDT). Dr. Chauhan is currently involved in implementing the Gates Foundation project “Multiomics for Mothers and Children” (MOMI) in Pemba-Zanzibar Island, East Africa. She has contributed to establishing a virology lab setup in Pemba Island for the AMANHI-PPNDC Cohort, a COVID-19 sub-study funded by the Gates Foundation as a Platform grant (2020-22). She has 15 international publications in prestigious journals such as NEJM, BMC, BMJ, JAMA Open, Scientific Reports, Biomed Research International, MDPI Pathogens, and Taylor and Francis book chapters, published between 2012 and 2022.

Since 20/10/2018, he has been employed as a Journalism and Media Lecturer at Debre Markos University in Debre Markos, Ethiopia.
