My research interests in my field of expertise, Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, include: aquaculture and aquaponics development and operation; Developing a surface water quality monitoring system; invasive species management; Developing techniques to integrated watershed management; development large and small-scale irrigation schemes; Wetlands Sustainable Use and Protection; Phytoremediation and Phytochemical Production. Adopting vermicomposting technology for farmers; developing new approaches for natural resource management; conservation and environmental biology; developing new methods for green economy; developing environmental impact assessment methods; developing models to mitigate and estimate climate impacts, and other related environmental topics are among my research interests in this field of specialization. My HDP study topic’s purpose was to examine instructors’ perceptions, behaviors, and barriers to implementing HDP in the College Of Natural And Computational Science in order to provide high-quality education at the college and university.

Work experience:

Full-time lecturer at Wolkite University from June 1, 2011 to June 30, 2019. (Ethiopia).From July 1, 2019 to the present, a full-time Assistant Professor and Researcher at Wolkite University.In 2017, Kotebie Metropolitan University offered a part-time lecture (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia). For more than ten years, I’ve been teaching several biology courses that require field expertise for both graduate and undergraduate programs. Some of the courses I taught included invertebrate zoology, vertebrate zoology, research methodologies and scientific literature, ecological principles, fisheries and aquatic sciences, wetland management, natural resource conservation, and so on.

Managerial skill:

From October 2011 to May 2013, Head of the Department Biology. From October 2011 until May 2013, Secretariat and a member of the Academic Commission (AC) for the College of Natural and Computational Science. From October 10, 2011 to October 1, 2015, a member of Wolkite University’s University Council. From January 11, 2012 through October 1, 2015, the coordinator for Wolkite University’s One-Heart Club. From December 8, 2012 to October 1, 2015, the coordinator for Wolkite University’s Big Sisters and Brothers Club.

At Wolkite University and others, I’m a member and chairperson of many Department and University level ad Hoch and standing committees.
