Prior to her Ph.D., she obtained a Master of Science in Fisheries Science from Pukyong National University, South Korea, specializing in Eco-friendly Application and Mass Production for Industrialization of polychaetes, from September 2014 to February 2016. Her master’s thesis examined the effect of salinity on the survival and growth of Marphysa sanguinea (Polychaeta: Eunicidae) juveniles. Dr. Boamah also holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management (Fisheries and Watershed Management option) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, completed from August 2005 to December 2009. Her research also delves into understanding the mechanisms of environmental stress tolerance in aquaculture species, aiming to identify markers for breeding stress-resilient aquaculture species.
