He completed his Residency Training in Haematology in 1985, followed by postdoctoral research at the Institute of Haematology “L. e A. Seràgnoli” at Bologna University in 1989. His commitment to advancing his expertise in the field led him to pursue further research as a Research Fellow at the Laboratory of Cellular Kinetics at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Paris from 1991 to 1993.
