From 1982 to 1989, I was a student at the Faculty of Physics, KNU. Following my undergraduate studies, I continued my academic journey as a postgraduate student at the same institution from 1989 to 1992, delving deeper into the field of physics. My quest for knowledge and expertise led me to pursue doctoral studies, and from 1995 to 1998, I served as a doctorant at the Faculty of Physics, KNU, where I dedicated myself to advanced research and scholarly pursuits in the realm of physics. These formative years of academic training and research laid a strong foundation for my future endeavors in the field.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND;
My academic and professional journey has been marked by a deep commitment to the field of physics and biophysics, with a focus on theoretical research and teaching. After completing my postgraduate studies in 1992, I took on the role of Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Theoretical Physics, Faculty of Physics, KNU, where I engaged in advanced research activities. Building on this experience, I assumed the position of Assistant Professor at the same department from 1993 to 1995, contributing to both research and teaching in theoretical physics.
In 1998, my career progressed as I became an Associate Professor at the Department of Theoretical Physics, Faculty of Physics, KNU, where I continued to advance my research and academic pursuits. In the same year, I obtained a Docent certificate in Theoretical Physics, further solidifying my expertise in this field. Expanding my academic horizons, I transitioned to the Department of Biophysics, Faculty of Biology, KNU, where I served as an Associate Professor from 2000 to 2001, delving into the interdisciplinary realm of biophysics.
My dedication to biophysics led to my appointment as a Professor at the Department of Biophysics, Faculty of Biology, KNU, a position I held from 2001 to 2007. During this time, I made significant contributions to the department’s research and academic programs, earning a Professor certificate in Biophysics in 2007. Building on my expertise, I currently serve as a Professor at the Department of Biophysics and Medical Informatics at ESC “Institute of Biology and Medicine”, KNU, a role I have held since 2007. In addition, I have been honored to serve as the Co-sup
