Transitioning to academia, Dr. Kaya joined the Faculty of Health Sciences at Erciyes University in Kayseri, Turkey, as a lecturer in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics from 2009 to 2014. She was subsequently promoted to assistant professor at the same institution, a position she held from 2014 to 2021. Since 2021, Dr. Kaya has been an assistant professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Nuh Naci Yazgan University, also in Kayseri, Turkey.
