🎓 Prof. Guanghua Cai earned his Ph.D. from Southeast University in 2017 and has since held positions as a lecturer and associate professor at Nanjing Forestry University, as well as a postdoctoral fellow at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research interests span soft ground improvement, sustainable construction materials, solid waste recycling, and geo-environmental engineering. As a principal investigator (PI), he has led projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Higher Education Institutions in China, and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development Science and Technology Project. Prof. Cai is an active member of various committees, including the Youth Working Committee of Environmental Geotechnical Engineering Branch in the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics & Engineering (CSRME), the Youth Working Committee of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Branch in the Chinese Civil Engineering Society, and the Youth Working Committee of the Foundation Committee of Jiangsu Civil and Architectural Society, as well as the Working Committee of Geotechnical Engineering Branch in the Nanjing Architectural Society. He has authored 30 research papers in internationally renowned journals and holds 25 national-authorized invention patents (including 3 international invention patents).
