Dr. Theodoros Chrysanidis completed his secondary education at the 2nd High School of Kavala and the Polykladiko Lyceum of Kavala. He obtained his Certificate of Studies of Lyceum from the Polykladiko Lyceum of Kavala with a grade of 196/8, earning a distinction. Following the Pan-Hellenic examinations, he enrolled in the Department of Civil Engineering at the School of Engineering of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.), where he pursued his undergraduate studies from 1996 to 2001. He graduated with a Diploma of Civil Engineering from the Department of Civil Engineering of A.U.Th. with a grade of 8.0, marking a “Very Good” performance. Dr. Chrysanidis received a Certificate of Academic Equivalence of his Diploma of Civil Engineering from A.U.Th. to diplomas under the international name MASTER in 2010. Professional Experience:

Dr. Theodoros Chrysanidis has a diverse professional background, starting with his work in a private consulting and construction company from April to September 2004. Here, he was involved in supervising and monitoring construction works in reinforced concrete structures, managing materials, organizing construction sites, and monitoring project economics. From June to December 2006, Dr. Chrysanidis worked at the private consulting and construction company E.M.BI.K. S.A., focusing on static and dynamic analyses of steel industrial buildings and supervising projects in all phases of construction. Since 2005, he has been involved in consulting and supervising private technical projects and, since 2006, has been estimating real estate commercial values as an External Estimator at the Commercial Bank of Greece. Dr. Chrysanidis has also been teaching as an adjunct Lecturer at Universities and Technological Educational Institutes since 2012 and carrying out energy inspections as an Energy Inspector since 2013.

From 2009 to 2023, Dr. Theodoros Chrysanidis has been actively involved in teaching at various academic institutions and educational establishments. His teaching engagements include positions at prestigious institutions such as the Democritus University of Thrace, specifically the Polytechnic School of Xanthi, the International Hellenic University, and the Hellenic Open University. He earned  Ph.D. in Offshore Structures (Ocean Engineering) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, Chennai, in 2016, with an impressive score of 7.77. Prior to that, He completed Master’s in Structural Engineering (M.E) from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Annamalai University in 2004, achieving a commendable score of 7.87. He have been serving as an Associate Professor at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) since May 31, 2017. In this capacity, my responsibilities include active participation as a member in syllabus revision and question bank updating processes. I am also involved in the Continuous Assessment Test committee and the Library Advisory committee. Additionally, He play a key role as a panel member in Ph.D. scholar interviews and serve as the In-Charge of the computational facility.  He teaching portfolio encompasses various subjects for M.Tech (Structural Engineering) and B.Tech (Civil Engineering) students, covering topics such as Design of Bridges, Earthquake Resistant Design of Structures, Pre-stressed Concrete, Advanced Structural Analysis, Advanced Concrete Technology, Design of Steel Structures, Structural Dynamics, Basics of Structural Design, Transportation Engineering, and Technical Answers for Real World Problems (TARP).

Prior to He tenure at VIT, He worked as an Assistant Professor at Karunya University from August 2016 to May 30, 2017.
