Dr. Eman Toraih is currently serving as a Research Project Manager in the Endocrine Division of the Surgery Department at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA, USA, a position she has held since February 2020. In addition to this role, she is an Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Surgery at the same institution, a position she has held since November 2019. Prior to her current positions, Dr. Toraih was an Assistant Professor in Medical Genetics at the Genetics Unit of Suez Canal University School of Medicine in Ismailia, Egypt, starting from June 2019. She previously held the position of Head of the Molecular lab at the Centre of Excellence in Molecular and Cellular Medicine at Suez Canal University from May 2015 to October 2019. Before that, she served as a Lecturer of Medical Genetics (June 2014 – May 2019), Assistant Lecturer of Medical Genetics (May 2008 – June 2014), and Demonstrator of Medical Genetics (June 2004 – May 2008) at the same institution. Dr. Toraih began her career as a Physician (General Practitioner) at Suez Canal University Hospitals in Ismailia, Egypt, where she worked from March 2003 to February 2004.

She then pursued a Diploma in Bioinformatics at Suez Canal University in Egypt, which she completed from August 2018 to June 2019. Dr. Toraih earned her Ph.D. in Medical Genetics from Suez Canal University in Egypt, graduating in May 2014. She also holds a Master’s degree in Medical Genetics from Suez Canal University, which she completed from June 2004 to April 2008. Dr. Toraih began her academic journey by obtaining an M.B.B. Ch in Medicine from Suez Canal University, Egypt, graduating in December 2002 after studying from September 1997.
