Their research showed that pharmacological inhibition of MALT1 or LPCAT3 via lipid nanoparticle technology ameliorates cardiac fibrosis and osteoarthritis, published as the corresponding author in Cell-communication and Signaling (Impact Factor 9.5). Furthermore, they discovered the Gab2/MALT1 axis as a new signaling mechanism of IL-1β that drives Thrombosis and Inflammation in Deep Vein Thrombosis, with implications of MALT1 inhibitors as therapy for thrombotic disorders, published as the first author in the BLOOD Journal (Impact Factor 25.6). Lastly, they discovered Grb2 associated binder 2 (Gab2) as a novel adaptor protein that integrates signaling evoked from TNFR1/IL-1R1/TLR4 receptors, published as the first author in the Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular biology journal (Impact Factor 10.5).
