Prof. Dr. Ze Sun completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering at East China University of Science and Technology from September 2000 to June 2004. He then pursued his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at the same university from September 2004 to June 2009.

Work Experience:

Prof. Dr. Ze Sun has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of Resources and Environmental Engineering. Since September 2012, he has been serving as an Associate Professor, Professor, and Master’s and Ph.D. Supervisor at the School of Resources and Environmental Engineering. He has also taken on additional responsibilities as the Vice Dean of the School since January 2022. Prior to this, from June 2009 to August 2012, he worked as a Lecturer at the same institution. Dr. Sun has also gained valuable industry experience, serving as the Deputy Director of Research and Development Center at Qinghai Salt Lake Industry Co., Ltd. from December 2016 to December 2017. Additionally, he has engaged in international cooperation and exchange programs, spending time at the University of Birmingham, the University of Nottingham, and others from February 2016 to March 2016. Furthermore, he has contributed to research and academia as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Leeds, UK, from November 2012 to November 2013. With an H-Index of 17, Dr. Sun has made significant contributions to the field through his research. He has published over 90 research papers in renowned journals, including AIChE Journal, Chem. Eng. Sci., Chem. Eng. J., Ind. Eng. Chem. Res., Renew. Energy, Solar Energy, Energy Tech., J. Therm. Sci., and J. Phys. Chem. B.
