In this role, he focuses on optimizing the supply chain of food grain distribution under the Public Distribution System (PDS) and developing dashboards for monitoring various indicators related to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Prior to this, Dr. Verma served as a Project Senior Scientist at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, from August 2020 to 2022, where he conducted a selective study of Electric Vehicles and Batteries. From August 2018 to 2020, he held a similar position, conducting a selective study of air pollution mitigation programs worldwide. Earlier in his career, from August 2017 to 2018, Dr. Verma worked as a Project Scientist at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, where he conducted scientific studies on the performance of improved biomass cookstoves under real-world conditions and researched air purifier technology using ionization of the atmosphere.

Education:

Dr. Amit Verma completed his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Energy Systems at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, from 2012 to 2017. His research and development work during this time focused on the measurement of emissions and thermal efficiency of improved stoves. Prior to his Ph.D., Dr. Verma pursued a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Chemical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Trichy, completing his studies from 2010 to 2012. During his M.Tech., he conducted experimental studies on electricity production from effluent treatment using Bio Electrochemical Systems.
