Prof. adeniran has a longstanding career in both academia and clinical practice. He has been a Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the University of Ilorin since 2022 and serves as a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, a role he has held since 2011. His responsibilities include lecturing medical students, coordinating advanced research projects, and providing specialized care in reproductive health.

He coordinated the Maternal and Perinatal Database for Quality Equity and Dignity (MPD4QED), a WHO-sponsored project in Nigeria. He served as a co-investigator on the WOMAN Trial and the WHO ACTION Trials (ACTION-I and ACTION-II), both focused on improving maternal and neonatal outcomes. His ongoing research projects include the SPEC-AI Nigeria, supported by Mayo Clinic, which uses artificial intelligence to screen for peripartum cardiomyopathy, and a USAID-funded study assessing the implementation of Respectful Maternity Care in North Central Nigeria.
