Dr. Mohamed El Aalaoui completed his Ph.D. in Entomology and Integrated Pest Management at Hassan 1 Settat University, Morocco, with a thesis focusing on integrated pest management against the cactus scale Dactylopius opuntiae. This research was conducted in collaboration with the National Institute of Agricultural Research (INRA-Morocco) and the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA), Rabat. His academic journey also includes a Master’s degree in Agricultural Production Improvement, where he studied the use of fluorescent Pseudomonas spp. isolates as a plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) to control key pests of tomato. Dr. El Aalaoui holds a Bachelor’s degree in Plant Biotechnology and a Diploma of Professional University Studies in Plant Biotechnology. He completed his education with a Baccalaureate in Physical Sciences. Dr. El Aalaoui’s academic achievements reflect his dedication to sustainable agricultural practices and integrated pest management strategies.

He is adept at breeding the mealybug Dactylopius opuntiae and natural enemies, as well as developing artificial feeds for predatory ladybirds such as Cryptolaemus montrouzieri and Hyperaspis campestris. His expertise extends to studying the life cycle, ecology, and population dynamics of insects, and controlling the biological and biochemical characteristics of predatory ladybirds. Dr. El Aalaoui is also experienced in evaluating the predatory potential of insects, prospecting, collecting, and identifying insects, and understanding the functional and numerical responses of predators to pests. In 2016, Dr. Mohamed El Aalaoui served as a Teacher in Genetics at the Bachelor’s Degree level in Biology. Dr. Mohamed El Aalaoui has pursued several training courses to enhance his professional skills: From 01/01 to 01/03/2019, he undertook a free training course at GENERAL EXPO, specializing in the marketing of Agricultural Equipment and Phytosanitary Products. Between 20/04 and 01/08/2017, Dr. El Aalaoui participated in a training course at the Regional Centre of Agronomic Research of Agadir (CRRAA, INRA), focusing on the Bioecology of the cactus scale insect Dactylopius opuntiae. From 01/02 to 30/06/2016, he engaged in a training course at the Regional Centre of Agronomic Research of Agadir (CRRAA, INRA), focusing on the Studies of PGPR potency of isolates of Pseudomonas spp antagonists. Lastly, from 01/04 to 10/06/2014, he completed his final training course at the National Institute of Agronomic Research ”INRA” of Agadir, which focused on the Studies of the technical conduct of cactus and tomato.
