Dr. Mateo Sanguino is an Industrial Technical Engineer (specializing in Electronics), an Electronic Engineer, and holds a Master’s Degree in University Teaching, along with a PhD in Systems Engineering and Automatics from UHU. Additionally, he founded the Spin-off company “OnuRobotics” between 2009 and 2012, which received awards from the Ministry of Innovation and Science (CICE) of the Andalusian Government and the “Creara” training plan (50K Companies).

Dr. Tomás Mateo Sanguino has held various significant roles throughout his career. He is currently the Director at the Virtual Teaching Service at the University of Huelva, a position he has held since July 11, 2021. Prior to this, he served as the Deputy Director at the Department of Electronic Engineering, Computer Systems, and Automatics, starting from October 1, 2014. Dr. Mateo Sanguino has been an Instructor of the CISCO Certified Networking Association (CCNA) program since 2007, receiving honors as an Advanced Level Instructor of Excellence from the Cisco Networking Academy in 2013, and honors as an Instructor after 10 Years of Service in 2018.

Achievements:

In his academic and research career, Dr. Mateo Sanguino has also been a member of the Research Commission of the Strategic Plan 2012-2015 and served as the Vice-Rector for Research at the University of Huelva from September 30, 2011. He completed a postdoctoral stay at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Lausanne, Switzerland, starting from June 1, 2011, with a duration of 3.5 months, focusing on the research theme of an augmented reality interface for a telepresence robot. Additionally, he received the CICE award granted by the Ministry of Innovation and Science of the Andalusian Government, totaling 3000 €, and enrollment in the ‘Creara’ entrepreneur program (Business 50 K), totaling 2000 €, in 2008.
