She completed her Ph.D. in 2016 from IIT Roorkee, her postgraduate degree in Urban and Rural Planning in 2011 from IIT Roorkee with a CGPA of 8.28, and her undergraduate degree in Architecture in 2009 from NIT Patna with a CGPA of 8.66. Rashmi Kumari completed her Twelfth Class from Anugrah Narayan College, Patna, in 2002 with 57.78%, and her Tenth Class from High School Phulwari Sharif, Patna, in 2000 with 62.00%.
