Dr. Ujwala Shinde completed her Ph.D. (Tech) in Pharmaceutics at the Bombay College of Pharmacy, Mumbai, from 1999 to 2005, under the guidance of Prof. M.S. Nagarsenker, who was also the Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics at the time. Her doctoral thesis was titled “Studies on Microencapsulation.” Prior to her Ph.D., she earned an M.Pharm. Sci in Medicinal Natural Product from the University Department of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, from 1990 to 1992. During this period, she conducted research under the guidance of Prof. Purnima D. Amin, a Professor in Pharmaceutics at the Institute of Chemical Technology, focusing on “Sodium Alginate and Xanthan gum as matrix Former for Controlled Drug Delivery,” for which she received a grade of 57.2%, earning her a first-class distinction. Additionally, he is a member of the Laboratory for Improvement and Valorization of Local Animal Productions and serves as the Project Manager for the PRFU project, which focuses on using natural antioxidants for semen preservation and artificial insemination in goats. Dr. Selles is also part of CNEPRU projects, including the Laboratory for epidemiological surveillance of bacterial and viral diseases in poultry in the western Algerian region, led by Hammoudi Abdelhamid, and the project on improving and producing small ruminants (milk/meat) through reproductive biotechnologies (artificial insemination and embryo transfer), led by Khiati Baghdad. Dr. Selles holds the rank of MCA and is actively contributing to these research initiatives.

Assist Prof Dr Sidi Mohammed Ammar Selles served as the Deputy Director responsible for post-graduation and external relations at the Institute of Veterinary Sciences, University Ibn Khaldoun, Tiaret, from January 13, 2016, to May 15, 2019. He was also a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Veterinary Sciences, representing Assistant Professors, from September 8, 2014, to September 2017, and later continued his involvement as the Deputy Director responsible for post-graduation and external relations from February 26, 2018, to May 15, 2019. Additionally, he has been a member of the project committee for the establishment of the University Ibn Khaldoun of Tiaret since April 11, 2018. Currently, he holds the position of President of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Veterinary Sciences from March 2, 2021, to date.

With a diverse professional background, I have accumulated extensive experience in various roles. My tenure as an Environmental Consultant at Kayson Company, Iran (2000-2005) provided me with practical insights into environmental management. Additionally, as the task manager for water in the Karoon River under the World Bank Project (2003-2004), I honed my skills in project management and environmental conservation. My involvement as a member reviewing environmental research proposals for the Power Ministry (2002-2005) deepened my understanding of research processes. Furthermore, my 24 years of experience in Urban Management (1979-2003) have equipped me with a robust foundation in this field, enhancing my ability to contribute effectively to urban development initiatives.

Research Project Activity:

Prof. Gholamreza Asadollahfardi has made significant contributions in the field of environmental research and management. His work includes a comprehensive study of the adsorption and accumulation of cadmium in various vegetables and fruits, with a subsequent modeling of cadmium in one of these specimens, completed in collaboration with the Power Ministry in July 2008. Additionally, he applied Artificial Neural Network techniques to predict salinity in the Vanier station of the Talekh river in Iran, also in partnership with the Power Ministry and completed in 2008. His expertise extends to analyzing surface water quality using Bayesian time series and assessing existing water quality stations in the Karoon River, both in collaboration with the Power Ministry. Prof. Asadollahfardi has also investigated the impact of the Latian Dam on the seismic conditions of the region, with this project being completed in July 2009 as part of his valuable contributions to environmental research and management efforts.
