Dr. Mohamed Hamed completed their B.Sc. in Marine Biology and Fishes with an Excellent with Honor degree, the first, from the Faculty of Science at AlAzhar University, Assiut Branch, Egypt, from August 2014 to May 2018. They then pursued their M.Sc. in Fish Biology and Ecotoxicology, titled “Impact of microplastics exposure on Nile Tilapia juveniles (Oreochromis niloticus)”, from the Department of Zoology and Marine Science, Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University, Assiut Branch, Egypt, from August 2018 to July 2021. Currently, they are a Ph.D. student in Fish Biology and Ecotoxicology, focusing on “Biomarkers responses in the African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) after exposure to pyrogallol”, at the Department of Zoology and Marine Science, Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University, Assiut Branch, Egypt, from August 2021 to the present.

RESEARCH PROJECTS AND TITLE:

In  role as the Principal Investigator (PI), She leading a research project titled “Isolation, characterization of herbal plant constituents and their effect on curing Osteoporosis using osteoblastic cell lines.” This initiative, funded by the National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB) under the Ministry of AYUSH, involves a comprehensive exploration of herbal plant constituents. The project aims to isolate and characterize bioactive compounds from medicinal plants, focusing on their potential in treating Osteoporosis. The study involves the use of osteoblastic cell lines to assess the therapeutic impact of these herbal constituents. The NMPB has generously allocated 40.0 Lakhs for the successful execution of this research endeavor.

Additionally, She spearheading another significant research project titled “Estimation of potency of anti-cancerous Thiosemicarbozones and its derivatives via genotoxic and cytotoxic biomarkers in cancer patients.” As the PI, She overseeing this project funded by the Seed Fund at Sharda University. The study aims to evaluate the efficacy of anti-cancerous Thiosemicarbozones and their derivatives through the assessment of genotoxic and cytotoxic biomarkers in cancer patients. The Seed Fund has allocated 1 Lakh for the successful completion of this research initiative.

She currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Life Sciences at SBSR, Sharda University, Greater Noida, since January 2020.
