Assistant Professor Dr. Sidi Mohammed Ammar Selles completed his high school education with a Scientific Track Diploma from Lycรฉe de Nรฉdroma, Nรฉdroma, Tlemcen, in July 1996, achieving a fairly good distinction. He pursued his university studies, obtaining a Veterinary Medicine Diploma from the Veterinary Institute of Tiaret in June 2001. Continuing his academic journey, he completed a Master’s Degree from 2005 to 2009, specializing in Veterinary Science with an Option in Infectious Pathology and Food Hygiene at the Faculty of Agro-Veterinary Sciences, Department of Veterinary Sciences, University Ibn Khaldoun, Tiaret, in April 2009, with a good distinction. Dr. Selles further advanced his education by earning a Doctorate in Science with a specialty in Infectiology from the University of Mascara in 2019, receiving a distinction of Very Honorable. He obtained his University Habilitation Diploma on 28/05/2020.

Dr. Sidi Mohammed Ammar Selles has had a diverse professional journey, starting as a Private Veterinary Doctor from 01/12/2001 to 10/07/2004. He then served as a Veterinary Doctor at the Tlemcen Game Reserve from 10/07/2004 to 30/11/2009. Transitioning to academia, he worked as an Assistant Professor B at the University Ibn Khaldoun, Tiaret, Institute of Veterinary Sciences, from 01/12/2009 to 10/07/2013, and later as an Assistant Professor A at the same institute from 11/07/2013 to 20/02/2019. Post Graduation & Research:

Post-graduation, Dr. Sidi Mohammed Ammar Selles has been actively involved in teaching and research. He taught parasitic zoonoses courses to third-cycle doctoral students during the academic year 2020/2021. Additionally, he is a member of the Laboratory for Improvement and Valorization of Local Animal Productions and serves as the Project Manager for the PRFU project, which focuses on using natural antioxidants for semen preservation and artificial insemination in goats. Dr. Selles is also part of CNEPRU projects, including the Laboratory for epidemiological surveillance of bacterial and viral diseases in poultry in the western Algerian region, led by Hammoudi Abdelhamid, and the project on improving and producing small ruminants (milk/meat) through reproductive biotechnologies (artificial insemination and embryo transfer), led by Khiati Baghdad. Dr. Selles holds the rank of MCA and is actively contributing to these research initiatives.

Assist Prof Dr Sidi Mohammed Ammar Selles served as the Deputy Director responsible for post-graduation and external relations at the Institute of Veterinary Sciences, University Ibn Khaldoun, Tiaret, from January 13, 2016, to May 15, 2019. He was also a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Veterinary Sciences, representing Assistant Professors, from September 8, 2014, to September 2017, and later continued his involvement as the Deputy Director responsible for post-graduation and external relations from February 26, 2018, to May 15, 2019. Additionally, he has been a member of the project committee for the establishment of the University Ibn Khaldoun of Tiaret since April 11, 2018. Currently, he holds the position of President of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Veterinary Sciences from March 2, 2021, to date.
