Professional Profiles:

Education:

Since entering University, She have always been involved in research. she have always worked on projects serving diabetic, dyslipidemic and hypertensive patients. These projects consisted of providing individualized nutritional care for these patients. In addition, she was a pedagogical supervisor, who guides nutrition students to propose nutritional guidelines and develop eating plans to meet the nutritional needs of these patients. she have developed research projects and guided students in the development of scientific projects. Furthermore, she was always invited to teach classes and participate in course completion work panels. It’s something I enjoy doing and she feel fulfilled. she have a master’s degree and a postgraduate degree in Clinical Nutrition. she have articles and book chapters that have been published.

Experience and Achivements:

Recently, she published a very interesting work on the effect of a garlic supplement on blood pressure in hypertensive patients, it is a clinical trial study developed in master’s degree. This study is very important, as it is a botanical alternative that can contribute to controlling blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Furthermore, the clinical relevance is comparable to traditional first-line medications (hydrochlorothiazide or valsartan). she was very pleased with this publication, a very great record in academic career.

Extension Activities:

She contribution to research has always been very active. She have always understood that the best thing is to help people and improve the world – this is one of motivations to continue searching for the truth and doing science. She introduction to science was quite early at university. she was always present in the development of projects and elaboration of methodological outlines. In addition, she was also involved in serving and monitoring the public to be served. Other activities linked to research also involve collecting, tabulating data and statistical analysis. From the interpretation of the results, the textual production for the preparation of the scientific article was also responsibility. she have publications derived from undergraduate, master’s and contributions she made to course completion work. Twice, she had the experience of working on creating content for companies that work with distance education. she led research groups to discuss scientific articles, guidance on research instruments (adipometers, stethoscope and sphingmomanometer, measuring tape). she have already been involved in extension work, which involved the participation of students, who were guided to develop nutritional procedures to meet the nutritional needs of hypertensive, renal, diabetic and dyslipidemic patients.
