Dr. Motasem Alsmadi is an Associate Professor of Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics with a joint appointment between the Nanotechnology Institute and the Pharmaceutical Technology Department at Jordan University of Science and Technology (J.U.S.T). He earned his BSc in Pharmacy, ranking first in his class, from J.U.S.T in 2009. Subsequently, he pursued graduate studies in Pharmaceutical Technology at The University of Iowa, completing his Ph.D. in December 2014. Afterward, he worked as an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology at the Pharmacy School at J.U.S.T until September 2020, during which time he also served as an Assistant Dean at the Pharmacy School and the Graduate Studies School.

In September 2020, Dr. Alsmadi was promoted to an Associate Professor, and in January 2023, he was appointed as a Joint Professor in the Nanotechnology Institute. In this capacity, he taught graduate-level courses and supervised master’s students at the Nanotechnology Institute, in addition to his involvement in teaching undergraduate (B.Sc and Pharm D.) and graduate (MSc and Ph.D.) courses and supervising master’s students at the Pharmacy School. The research endeavors of our team have yielded fruitful outcomes, with a total of 10 research projects successfully completed and ongoing. Our scholarly impact is reflected in a citation index of 6 in renowned databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and PubMed, along with 7 publications in journals indexed in SCI and SCIE. While our focus extends across diverse areas such as veterinary parasitology, animal biotechnology, virology, pathology, animal welfare, pharmacology, and vaccinology, we have yet to publish books with ISBN or engage in consultancy and industry-sponsored projects. The cumulative impact factor of our publications over the last 3 years underscores our commitment to high-quality research.

Although the number of patents published or under process is currently at zero, we have fostered collaborative activities through 10 joint publications and projects. Our research extends beyond borders, with scholars actively engaged in ongoing projects and one research scholar currently pursuing their studies. Regrettably, the number of countries visited for research activities remains at zero. Professional Education:

Since September 2023, She have had the honor of serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Isra University in Amman, Jordan. In this capacity, She provide leadership and strategic direction to the faculty, contributing to the academic and professional growth of both students and staff. Prior to my current role, She held the position of Professor in the Faculty of Pharmacy, specializing in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at Jordan University of Science and Technology, starting from August 2017 and continuing to the present. During this time, I have actively engaged in teaching and research, contributing to the advancement of pharmaceutical education and clinical pharmacy practices. She academic journey at Jordan University of Science and Technology began in August 2012 when She assumed the role of Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Pharmacy, specifically in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy. Over the years, She progressed to the position of Associate Professor, further solidifying my commitment to academic excellence and the development of clinical pharmacy expertise.

Awards & Memberships:

She honored to have received recognition for she contributions in the field of pharmacy and academia, exemplified by the Best Presentation Award at the 19th International Conference on Pharmacy held in Dubai in 2017. This acknowledgment highlights she commitment to delivering impactful presentations and sharing valuable insights within the global pharmaceutical community.

During her academic pursuits, she was granted the prestigious Academic Excellence Scholarship for Higher Education at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) in Irbid, Jordan, spanning the years 2008 to 2012. This scholarship is a testament to her dedication to academic excellence during her higher education journey.

She commitment to scholarly activities was further acknowledged with the Best Poster Presentation Award at the 13th Annual Graduate Student Symposium and Exhibit at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2009. This recognition reflects she dedication to producing high-quality research and effectively communicating findings through visual presentations.

In addition to these awards, She actively participate in professional associations. Since 2006, She have been a proud member of the Jordan Pharmaceutical Association (JPA) in Amman, Jordan, contributing to the pharmaceutical community locally.
