Dr. Hema Achyuthan has a rich teaching experience of 27 years. She joined Anna University as a Lecturer on December 4, 1991, and served as a Professor from 2008 until 2017. From 2018 to 2021, she was designated as a Professor Emeritus Scientist at CSIR. Since 2021, she has been serving as a Professor Emeritus Honorary at the Institute of Ocean Management (IOM), Anna University, Chennai. With 32 years of research experience, Dr. Hema Achyuthan has made significant contributions to the field of Geology. Her expertise and dedication have earned her recognition and esteemed positions in academia.

Research & Teaching Position:

In 1988, Dr. Achyuthan became the Principal Investigator for a Young Scientist Programme sponsored by DST, leading the project until 1990. She continued her research journey as a CSIR Research Associate from July to November 1991. Dr. Hema Achyuthan joined Anna University on December 3, 1991, as a Lecturer. She progressed in her career, serving as a Senior Lecturer from December 4, 1996, and then as an Assistant Professor from December 4, 2000.
