Dr. Charles Abimbola Faseyi’s academic journey has been marked by a commitment to environmental studies and coastal management. He obtained his Ph.D. in Integrated Coastal Zone Management from the University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast, Ghana, in March 2023. His doctoral thesis focused on the “Assessment of ecological health status and socio-economic drivers of degradation in two southwestern estuarine systems of Ghana.” Throughout his Ph.D., Dr. Faseyi was actively involved in various research responsibilities, including sample collection for microplastics, benthic macroinvertebrates, particle size, heavy metals, nutrients, and physicochemical parameters. He also conducted laboratory analyses, data analysis, and contributed to the publication of manuscripts and presentation of papers in international conferences. Prior to his doctoral studies, Dr. Faseyi completed his Master of Science in Zoology (Ecology and Environmental Biology) at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, in December 2016. His dissertation titled “Plankton, grain size, productivity, and quality of Lekan-Are Reservoir, Ogun-Oshun River Basin, Abeokuta, Ogun State” involved similar responsibilities, including sample collection for benthic macroinvertebrates, particle size, heavy metals, nutrients, and physicochemical parameters, as well as laboratory analysis, data analysis, and international conference presentations.
