From August 2021 to October 2022, Mr. Ali Rajabiyan worked at Anshan Company in Ahvaz, Iran. Research Experience:

Mr. Ali Rajabiyan has been involved in several research projects at the Marine Pharmaceutical Science Research Center, Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences, Ahvaz, Iran. From 2019 to 2021, he worked on the project “Preparation and investigation of physicochemical properties of iron oxide magnetic nano carrier coated with hydroxyapatite extracted from sea urchin (Echinometramathaei) for methotrexate drug delivery.” In 2020-2021, he was part of the project “Fabrication, Optimization, and Localization of the Physicool Brand Analgesic Nano-emulsion and Evaluation of Analgesic and Anti-Inflammatory its Effects in Patients Undergoing knee Arthroplasty.” Another project he contributed to from 2020 to 2022 involved the preparation, phytochemical investigation, and evaluation of Sargassum seaweed extract from the Persian Gulf-Bushehr province as a biofertilizer effective on the morphophysiological characteristics of bean and watermelon plants. Currently, from 2023 to 2024, he is working on a project investigating the physicochemical and morphological characteristics of hydroxyapatite extracted from different marine sources of the Persian Gulf and comparing their justification. Additionally, Mr. Rajabiyan is involved in a project at the Department of Aboozar Hospital, Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences, Ahvaz, Iran, from 2024 to the present, focusing on the effect of cordiamyxa syrup on reducing the severity and duration of diarrhea in pediatrics with gastroenteritis.

Dr. Imtiyaz Qayoom holds a PhD in Fisheries Resource Management, specializing in Aquatic Toxicology, from the Faculty of Fisheries, SKUAST-K Rangil Ganderbal J&K (OGPA = 8.28). He also has a Master’s of Fisheries Sciences (M.F.Sc.) in Applied Aquaculture, specializing in Fish Parasitology, from Barkatullah University Bhopal Madhya Pradesh (OGPA = 8.37), and a Bachelor’s in Science with Industrial Fish and Fisheries from the University of Kashmir, Jammu & Kashmir (OGPA = 63.11).

Teaching Experience:

Dr. Imtiyaz Qayoom has a rich teaching background. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor cum Junior Scientist at the Division of Aquatic Environmental Management, Faculty of Fisheries, SKUAST-K, where he has been engaged in teaching, research, and extension activities since December 2019. Prior to this, he worked as a Contractual Lecturer at the same division from 2016 to 2019, primarily focusing on teaching. He also served as a Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Fisheries, SKUAST-K, from 2014 to 2015, where his responsibilities included assisting in teaching activities.

Achievements:

Dr. Imtiyaz Qayoom has a remarkable academic and professional record, including securing the First Rank in merit at the master’s (M.F.Sc.) level in the batch in 2010. He was awarded a Junior Research Fellowship for two years by the Department of Science and Technology (DST, GoI) New Delhi under the INSPIRE Fellowship Scheme in 2011, followed by a Senior Research Fellow for three years by the DST Govt. of India New Delhi under the same scheme in 2013. In 2013, he also received the Best Oral Presentation award for presenting a paper in the 9th J&K Science Congress held at the University of Kashmir on “Innovations and Advances in Sciences and Technology”. Dr. Qayoom’s contributions to academia were further recognized with an Award of Excellence for reviewing manuscripts in the Annual “Research & Review in Biology” (NAAS: 4.79) in 2017, and the Best Young Scientist National Award by the IRDP Group of Journals Chennai, India, with a memento and medal in 2018.

Dr. Imtiyaz Qayoom has extensive expertise in Aquatic Toxicology, with a specialization in Fish Parasitology. He is skilled in conducting Fish Toxicity tests, as well as hematological and biochemical analysis. Dr. Qayoom is proficient in using HPLC and GLC methods for pesticide detection from fish muscles and natural waters. He is also trained in in-vivo toxicological procedures related to fishes (bioassay) and has a strong understanding of geno-toxicological studies in fishes, particularly in the induction and detection of micronuclei. Furthermore, he is well-versed in estimating various limnological parameters of water.
