Mr. Enoh Jeanot Fongoh is a PhD student in a fellowship program on water resources management using environmental isotopes, jointly at the University of Franche-Comte in France and the University of Douala in Cameroon since November 2019. His research involves GIS training on spatial analysis and map production using ArcGIS and QGIS. He evaluates different components of the hydrological cycle and their implications in climate change and water resources management. Mr. Fongoh identifies the origin and processes of groundwater recharge using environmental stable isotopes for water resources evaluation and management. He also studies aquifer vulnerability and identifies sources of contamination in groundwater systems using nitrogen isotopes and hydrochemistry. Additionally, he characterizes groundwater mineralization and processes controlling groundwater composition using major ions hydrogeochemistry. His work includes manipulation of Ion chromatography system (ICS) and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-AES) for anion and cation analyses respectively. Mr. Fongoh is involved in writing scientific reports and publications.

Over the past 12 years, he have focused research in the areas of impact of climate change on flooding, rainfall patterns, weir operation, equatorial soil loss and sediment yield, and slightly shifted towards building information modelling (BIM) in recent years. To date, he have successfully won four national competitive research grants and two industry consultancy projects worth over RM381,000.00, which have largely funded research activities on a continuous basis from 2011 to present. he have published 93 peer-reviewed research papers, of which 9 are book chapters, 50 are journal publications, 28 are in conference proceedings, two magazines and three newspaper articles and one scholarship learning and teaching publication.
